Ctrade’s CBase platform allows consumers to monitor their electricity consumption and generation, in real time, using any internet enabled computer. This allows you to:
- Monitor and understand your energy consumption patterns.
- Identify those devices which consume the most energy.
- Relate your energy consumption to your energy generation if you have a solar or other renewable energy system installed.
- Modify your energy consumption behaviour to reduce your reliance on electricity. We set out many different ideas of achieving this in the Energy Efficiency Section.

How it works
Ctrade employs state of the art smart meter technology to monitor the flow of electricity into (consumption) and out of (generation) your electricity meter box. The smart meter can be configured over one or several circuits in your installation to monitor different groups of high energy use appliances such as hot water systems and air conditioners.
The data from the smart meter is transmitted electronically via the internet to our CBase database where the data is compiled and sorted. The data is then accessed by the Ctrade website where consumers can login using a secure username and password to view their patterns of consumption and generation.
